About Me

A photo of Stacy Plackowski, personal chefI’m Stacy Plackowski, owner of Chez Stacy in San Mateo, California. I am a Certified Natural Chef providing personal chef and small event catering services throughout the Bay Area. In January 2008, I received my natural chef certificate from Bauman College in Santa Cruz and then went on to spend six weeks interning at Que seraw seraw in Burlingame.

I have always been passionate about food and cooking. But, after developing Endometriosis in my early 30s, I began to study the benefits of good nutrition for our health and overall well-being. I am a true believer in buying local and seasonal fruits, vegetables, and protein. This explains the name “Chez Stacy,” which pays homage to Alice Water’s well known restaurant Chez Panisse in Berkeley.

In addition to my personal chef business, I’m also part of the culinary team at Williams-Sonoma where I teach weekly cooking technique classes. Whenever I can, I love to volunteer my catering services to local school auctions and various fundraisers.
